Preston recently made his first out of country trip to Belgium. We were lucky enough that my parents were able to visit back in March and decided to drive to Brugge for the weekend. Belgium is known for their beer and chocolate!! Both which were fantastic. Brugge is the capital of Belgium and the largest city in the Flemish region of Belgium. It is a canal-based city and also known as the "Venice of the North". It is most known for their medieval architecture.
Preston did an excellent job riding in his car seat and made the 4 hour drive painless. The only painful part was our chauffeur, Brad, missing a few exits. We ended up making it to Brugge and had a wonderful weekend with Nana and Gampa. (Yes, Gampa is the correct spelling. :) Pictures of our journey are posted below!
We are eating at an Irish pub!! It just happened to be St. Patty's day weekend as well, although, they don't drink green beer in Belgium. |

Here is a photo of one of their chocolate stores. Brad tried to count them all but lost track at 25! They are known for their chocolate and let me tell you it was amazing!! |
We purchased several Euro's worth of chocolate. My favorite was the carmel truffles!! We are going back soon to get more!! |
