Deployment Homecoming

The day had finally arrived.  The long awaited day. 201 long awaited days to be exact. Counting every day, week, and month til you can touch your loved one and feel them in your arms again had finally arrived.  Our day had finally came. When you never thought it would arrive, it did!! A cold, rainy night in January but it arrived.

To even begin to describe the million-th and one emotions a person may go through waiting for their loved one to walk through the doors is indescribable.  Excitement, nervous, anxious, fear, anxiety just name a few. You are over whelmed with the thought that tonight you are going home with your best friend and for many days to come, you don't have to go to bed alone.   You begin to feel at ease and worry less because you know you have made it! You know you have survived deployment. No matter how much you have went through the last almost 7 months, you have your partner back!! When they say everything will go wrong or can go wrong when your spouse leaves is not a lie. I could ramble on for pages about all the shenanigans that my fellow friends went through over the last 7 months, but tonight's blog is about the hugs, the kisses, and the happy tears for making it when you thought you couldn't do one more day, you did it!!

The following pictures depics the last moments of waiting for our spouses. The waiting to feel their warmth and comfort in our arms again!! I wish I could tell the story over the last 7 months, but I just want to share the joy we military spouses experienced on January 15th.

Sweet P was so excited he was walking everywhere!!

Just a few of my near and dearest friends that made single parent ops so much easier.  From left to right, Vanessa, who gave birth to their 2nd son, 2 weeks after her husband deployed, Becca, (Me), Suk-one of the toughest of the tough who has 3 kids under 5, and Jeff., whose wife was only home for 3 months last year!!

The next few photos show us reuniting as a family once again.  Preston and I could see daddy from way in the back and since I am so short I held our sweet boy up so Brad could find us!! This is one of the best days as our lives as a family!!

The Dvorak's are officially back together, for the meantime that is.. We always know deployments are looming around the corner and we have learned to make every moment count together!! Thank you to all the moms, friends, sisters, and family who have given not only myself, but my other friends continued support during the last 7 months!! Our spouses sacrifice a great deal for our country and it makes me such a proud military spouse!!
